3Stylish, Overpriced, Inconvenient Travel System!
By Jerry Palmerino Jr
We received this as part of the Vine Program. Here is our review.Stroller Pros:The white reflective piping is a nice touch to brighten up the black fabric. It has a great 5-point restraint for safety. We like that our son sits up higher than our other stroller. It has a very smooth ride and is easy to maneuver. It glides across the floor. We like the 3 position recline on the seat. The stroller handle flips easily to change the direction your child is facing. This is great for when they are infants and want to look at you, then can be easily changed for when they are older and want to look at the world. The brakes are actually up on the handle of the stroller and not controlled by foot like most strollers. This is a little awkward to use at first but after a few tries we were able to unlock and lock using one hand.Cons:For a stroller this expensive, we would like to see more convenience features, like actual cup holders instead of the unstable canvas/mesh ones that are attached to the underside of the stroller. There is also no area for our toddler to put his sippy cup or snack. The storage basket at the bottom of the stroller is pretty much useless and and you can barely get to it. The metal bars on the base of the stroller block access from the front or back. The height of the basket is so short you could not put much in it.There is no such thing as one handed folding with the large base on this stroller. You have to lean over to the bottom of the base, push a button with one hand and pull up on a lever with the other hand. The base is so bulky and awkward and it does not fold as smoothly as it should for this priceJust as you would any other, of course, you have to remove the carseat prior to folding when you are using the system with the infant carrier. However, it appears you CANNOT fold the stroller with the toddler seat on it and still fit it in a trunk! This is the biggest disappointment and a probable deal breaker for us. Who wants to remove a seat every time and then fold up the base? Not to mention where are you supposed to put the seat when you are doing this? We saw pictures where the stroller was folded and the seat seemed to nest inside the base to make it fairly compact. We are now realizing that the seat is not connected and is probably just resting on top the base. We were able to actually fold it with the seat on it but it stuck out so far in the opposite direction that we knew there was no way it could be right. No where in the instuction manual does it specifically tell you that you had to remove the toddler seat prior to folding. Unless we are doing something majorly wrong with attempting to fold it, there is no other way but to remove it. We drive a small 4 door sedan and dont have room to store an extra seat in addition to the base, even if it is just for the few minutes that it takes to get this thing set up or disassembled. We will not be able to use it for some time as right now we only have a toddler. The carrier is on the heavier side. It is very difficult to move the handle past the sunshade canopy. It seems like it would be very frustrating for everyday use.Overall:We wanted to LOVE this system, as it has some features that are helpful and creative. However, it is extremely unpractical for every day, on-the-go use. We will probably use this stroller for trips to the zoo or amusement parks because of the smooth ride, but we will not be dealing with the seat removal issue on a daily/weekly basis for shopping trips, errands, etc. Then again, the storage and lack of convenience accessories is a turn off for those long day trips, so we are torn. We may just have to stick with our Graco stroller. The price tag on this item is too expensive to have to buy extra accessories like more stable cup holders, etc. This stroller was extremely easy to put together and everything just clicked into place. It is very modern looking. It has sleek curves and the metal it is made of appears to be aluminum. Although somewhat unsightly, you can see the welds that hold it together. This stroller is built solid. We were happy to find out that our other carseat, the Graco Snugride 32, is designed to also fit on the stroller base with the Teutonia carseat adapter, which is included. It also includes 1 base for the car.PS: If we are hugely mistaken about the way it folds up with the toddler seat, someone please let us know! Thanks.

3Overpriced (IMHO) but Nice
By J. Dassaro
We have two children and have been through the stroller buying process twice. Normally choosing more common systems available at Target or Baby's R US for example. The typical systems we purchased before were in the $200-$300 range (I call this the mid-range). We travel with these systems (in a minivan), so compactness has been and remains a critical factor.Bottom line: this system is way overpriced at $700.00 and called "a luxury crossover stroller." In fact, I argue any system, is over priced at $700.00. I mean, come on. You are not buying a car. A large component of pricing is that the system is built in Europe and imported. So, you pay a premium for the cool factor of saying you have a European stroller. In fact, I was watching a movie set the other day and I swear I saw this stroller (the movie was set in Europe). Also, some have called this system "sophisticated," normally a euphymism for expensive, cool, and "look at me."That being said, the system arrives in a VERY LARGE box though easily moved by a person of average strength. As you assemble this product you will notice the high quality manufacturing process and well engineered design. The entire unit seems a little heavier than other brands, probably due to the higher quality components. Somewhat the same feel of a pro Nikon camera. Assembly is easy and instructions well written. This system provides a smooth ride (it should at $700.00). Whether your child will appreicate a smooth roller ride is another story. My children could not care less. The stroller is also compact when closed. Just as compact as any other system. The brakes are located on the handle compared to typical foot brakes on Graco systems. I like the placement of the brake better on the Teutonia System, but it is not difficult to use a foot brake system. The 5 point restraint system is very nice. One nice feature, not found in most other "mid range" models is the ability to change the handle direction thus allowing your child to face you (ggod when the sun faces them). And of course, you have the 3 position recline found on nearly every other system. This system, as with most, requires you remove the toddler seat prior to folding (unit comes with one base). I think some of the photos I have seen may be deceiving in this regard. As another reviewer noted, both the cup holders and stroage basket leave a lot to be desired. Oddly, these may be the most important aspects (other than safety of course) to parents. The basket simply does not hold enough items and is difficult to access and can only be accessed from sides. The cup holders ar mesh. Good intention but does not work. Infants sit higher in this system than in others, helping you minimize bending to deal with your child. This can be a big plus for mom's and dad's with bad backs. The Teutonia has an independent suspension system (don't laugh) and no flat run tires. Obviously benefits in handling.IN SUMMATIONIs it worth it? That is up to you to decide. Read the other reviews and assess your needs. This system is nearly twice as much as Britax systems and over three times as much as the Baby Trends and Graco systems. Baby strollers are not cars. They have a limited use period and then you will be selling it or giving it away. Now, for those that have to live by the "look at me" factor, this stroller will surely accomplish that as many people will asky you about it. The next question will invariably be "how much."I do not think Amazon allows me to link to outside video. However, I suggest you go to YouTube and enter the searcg term "Teutonia T-Linx System" and review some of the videos before committing to such an expensive stroller.

5Getting sick of people staring!
By SpinCycle
I love this stroller system to bits, but I'm really getting sick of being stopped and asked about the stroller. "What a cool stroller", "I've never seen anything like that", "How does it work?", "Is that a spaceship?". I feel like I'm a walking sales person for Teutonia giving impromptu stroller demonstrations on the spot.In all seriousness though, this system is great. It's super easy to fold up in 2 steps and it does take only one hand. It's light weight and the handling/steering is greater than any nascar on the track. It may be pricey, but for what you get, it really is a great deal as it lasts from birth to toddler with the infant car seat and toddler seat. The only thing that bugs me a tad is the shade on the infant seat. It's a little hard to move the seat handle bar over the shade but it's not worth taking away a star for that. I purchased the system in Carbon Black and got the car seat base and infant seat padding insert.People are definitely more interested in this stroller than the baby in it. Thanks Teutonia for stealing the show away from my baby!
